Wetting the bed is more than just a problem that happens to a child that has a solution. Those that are facing bed wetting will face many problems that are associated with this condition. Many children that find themselves in this situation and their self esteem is shattered because they feel as if they have done something wrong. Bedwetting is common in children, and can affect adolescents too. It affects twice as many boys as girls, and can cause embarrassment and stress for children and their families.

When a child wets the bed, he or she usually has no control over the situation. In some cases, medical conditions contribute to this problem. Sometimes the bed wetting is happen due to emotional trauma. As a parent of a child, it is up to you to insure that the bed wetting condition is taken care of by the doctor.

While seeking the doctor’s help is the first step in the right direction, the next step is to learn about your child’s feelings about this situation. In fact there is nothing medically wrong in case of the child is under the age of eight, he or she will outgrow their problem naturally gradually. If the children over the age of eight are facing this problem it seems that they have other problems causing the bed wetting. For example, the child may begin to bed wet when a bit of fighting or an emotionally stresses situations happening in the family, this situation gets out of their control and they deliberately wet the bed, which is a sign emotion.

The children are being if they bed wets in fact they are doing this not because of laziness. It is happening because of their body’s inability to wake them and warn them of the need to go to the bathroom which is very common in the bed wetting theory. Here the role comes to the parents, they should encourage and reassuring to their child, rather than any punishment or angry.
