Enuresis alarms are effective treatment device for the bedwetting sufferers. In fact the real reasons of bedwetting may vary but in most cases the treatment is the same to these problems. The basic aim of such treatment is that to learn by the child to wake up when the bladder get full. The designs of these bedwetting alarms are to wake both the child and their parents very quickly after moisture expels. If the child gets out of his bed at the exact time and goes to the bathroom automatically, this behavioral response will get normal and the problem of enuresis will stop.

Generally the bedwetting alarms mechanized with two main parts such as a detectable sensor to moisture, and an alarm unit to wake up both the child and parent from bedwetting.

However there are two kinds of alarms available like bed-side and clothing-mounted. There is a moisture sensor device pad which is used in the bed-side enuresis alarm which can keep under the upper part of the bedding of a child. Usually the alarm unit is then linked to this device which is placed on a table close to the bed. These bed-side units are powered by either battery or current.

The clothing-mounted bedwetting alarms are fixed to the cloth of the child. The
advantages of this type of alarm are the use of small sensors which can be easily fixed to the undergarments of a child. For child’s quick reaction the alarm unit is fixed in the area of his cloth that is called shoulder, this is why child can hear the sound clearly wake him up quickly to the bathroom. Moreover it is not required for a table near the bed of the child.

There is another feature added this clothing-mounted enuresis alarms and that is the vibration to wake up the child. The device is very similar to the cell phones that vibrate to signal for a call. This vibration can also be used with the audible alarm for wake up a sleeping child.

Adding to its advantages it can be say that the sensor unit can stay fixed with the child's clothing. Although the clothing mounted bedwetting alarms are newer to the market but they offer some great advantages like it is not required to be installed every night before bedtime. Enuresis alarms are an effective kind of treatment device for bedwetting. However you should talk with your child's pediatrician for an appropriate treatment for your child. They prescribe some medicines or an enuresis alarm too.
